Light your beacon
One tap signals you're out and open to plans. Your flame appears only for the friends you choose — no feed, no broadcast.
See who's out
While your beacon's lit, friends who are also out show up live on the map. Reciprocity by design — you share to see.
Beacons become bonfires
When friends land on the same spot, their flames merge into a bonfire. The more who show up, the brighter it burns.
You control when you're visible.
Your location is shared only when your beacon is lit. Turn it off and you disappear — no history, no tracking, no selling.
Questions, answered
Beacon is a location-sharing app for small, trusted friend groups. You light your beacon when you're out and open to plans, and the friends you choose can see where you are. It's built for spontaneity — not for an audience.
Tap once to ignite. Your location starts sharing with the friends you've selected, and you can see theirs in return. Tap again to extinguish — your beacon goes dark and your location stops sharing immediately.
Only the friends you choose, and only while your beacon is lit. Beacon is reciprocal by design: you can't see friends' locations unless your own beacon is on. No beacon, no map.
No. Beacon only uses your location while the app is in use and your beacon is lit. There's no always-on tracking and no location history — when you extinguish, the session location is deleted.
Yes. Every time you ignite, you pick who can see you. Beacon is meant for close circles, so visibility is always a deliberate choice — never a default broadcast.
You can delete your account directly in the app at any time, and it actually removes your data. There's no waiting period and nothing kept behind the scenes.
Never. There are no ads, no data selling, and no feeds to scroll. Beacon's only job is to help you meet up with friends in real life.
